Kelli Neptune is an attorney in private practice. The Law Office of Kelli I. Neptune, LLC handles criminal, child custody and support, divorce and general civil matters in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Attorney Neptune earned her undergraduate and law degrees at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked for almost ten years at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia (PDS) where she represented juveniles and adults charged with misdemeanors and serious felonies. She also represented clients in housing and neglect cases and litigated appellate cases before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. While at PDS,Attorney Neptune conducted numerous trainings for judges, attorneys, staff and investigators and served as the Deputy Trial Chief of the General Felony Section and as the Senior Deputy Trial Chief. Since 2008, she has been a certified civil mediator and a volunteer mediator for the District Court of Maryland. In 2012, Attorney Neptune was a visiting professor at Georgetown University Law School where she taught and supervised students in the Juvenile Justice Clinic. Additionally, she has been an adjunct professor at Howard University School of Law since 2010 where she has taught a Trial Advocacy class and supervised students in the Criminal Justice Clinic.
