Alice Julia Jordan

Former Secretary-Treasurer, 1976 to 1990

Alice Julia Jordan was born on January 11, 1911 on the campus of Kittrell College in North Carolina where her father, Dr. Dock J. Jordan was president. She attended Howard University where she earned a B. A. degree and Washington University where she was awarded the Masters of Social Work degree. Alice work for 40 years in St. Louis for the Division of Children's Services and retired in 1974 as the supervisor of that unit. After retirement she moved to Los Angeles to reside with her brother, Bishop Frederick D. Jordan. Alice Julia Jordan died on January 18, 1993 and is buried in Beachwood Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina.
